How to improve your live video streaming picture quality!

Share Button
I’ve had so many people ask me how I get such clear, high quality video on my Facebook Live streams.
Here’s my #1 tip…

Get off WiFi and hardwire!

Yes, that’s right! Whether you’re doing a Facebook Live, Instagram Live, YouTube Live, doing a Zoom video conferencing call (do you see a trend here with how important live video is and will only continue to be??), to prevent the dreaded spinning wheel of death on your MacBook Pro, pixelated video, frozen video which always freezes on the most unflattering expression on your face or getting kicked off in the middle of a live… you gotta stop using WiFi and hardwire to your device!

Think about it… how many people are in your home sharing the same WiFi? How many devices and electronic equipment are also using the same WiFi? Even things like your printer, Alexa and Peloton are all on it. It’s no wonder your live video quality reminds you of AOL dial-up days!

Plus did you know that your internet service provider quotes their high speeds based on being hardwired?

For all the reasons above, I always hardwire for my live videos and Zoom conference calls.

Here’s the links to the most updated equipment I personally use as of March 2021!

  1. Cat8 High Speed Ethernet Cable (comes in various lengths from 3ft to 100ft). This is what you use to connect from your modem to your laptop, phone or tablet device. There are literally hundreds of types of ethernet cables but I did my research and this is the most reliable and fastest! CLICK HERE
  2. It’s highly UNLIKELY that your device you go live with has a direct port to connect your ethernet cable so you’ll need an adaptor aka DONGLE! Do your due diligence and double check to see which model you have especially if you have an older one! USB C Hub, 9-in-1 USB C Adapter USB C Dock Compatible Apple MacBook Pro 13/15 (Thunderbolt 3) CLICK HERE
  3. Lightning ethernet adapter for iPhone & iPad: CLICK HERE
  4. Not pictured but Droid version. Check for compatibility and model specificity. USB C Ethernet Adapter with OTG Hub for Essential Phone, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus, Note 8 9, Google Pixel XL, LG G6 Smartphone: https://amzn.to/2UDnDke
  5. Pictured Below: Adjustable Height Laptop Cart on wheels that I use for my live videos. The price has finally come down after the 2020 Pandemic Price Gouging we saw with so many tech tools: https://amzn.to/368jU36

I’ll be sharing a lot more quick and easy tips about live video here on my blog like my most popular one ever all about my favorite type of beauty lighting i’ve used for well over five years to look my personal best on camera as well as on my upcoming live videos!

Comment below if you have something specific you’d like for me to share!

And if you’re not already on my waitlist for my signature group coaching program, Lights Camera Branding, click HERE to get on the VIP waitlist! We are finally opening the doors again this spring after seven long months!

With Grit & Grace, xoxo!

A love letter from me to me and me to you… ✨Fo A love letter from me to me and me to you… ✨For what it’s worth, it’s never too late to start again.

You can ease into the new year.
You can take time to focus on you.
You can break all the rules to rewrite your own.
You can feel two opposing emotions simultaneously (why are we so dang good at this type of “multi-tasking”?)
You can ask yourself the hard questions to learn what you really want.
You can change your mind.
You can start on your goals in the middle of a month, on a random Tuesday, at any time you decide to go for it.
You can start changing your life at any given moment.
You can be a masterpiece now and in progress.

Whatever unfolds tomorrow, I know this one thing to be true…

Nothing is promised so root for yourself and be grateful for every precious day we get to live this amazing thing called life..

✨The best is yet to come for us!
Love this so much! Does it resonate with you too? Love this so much! Does it resonate with you too?

💡Hot Tip for you! If you’re currently nowhere near the ocean, pop your earbuds in and download any of the many free sound apps or YT videos to hear the calming, soothing ocean waves to take a break when you need it or meditate to.

My husband and I love and have used the Better Sleep app every night for years to create white and brown noise to help get deeper, longer sleep!

If you have an especially hard time sleeping when traveling like I do, you’ll definitely want to try using a sound app for sure!

Did you find this helpful? Lemme know below and feel free to add in your own Hot Tip! 🫶
The not-so-secret to success whether it’s goals, The not-so-secret to success whether it’s goals, vision boards, manifesting or how the turkey turns out.

You can’t just wish for it.
Work for it.

Prayer plus action is your super charged strategy for success 🙏🏻

When was the last time you got crystal clear about what you want and asked for it?
You did not start your business to become an overw You did not start your business to become an overworked, underpaid employee🙅🏻‍♀️

I bet we have A LOT in common and you needed this reminder too especially if you’re a *recovering* Type A, hustle culture overcomer like me too.

If you want longevity and success in your business as well as protect the very passion you have for what you GET to do, then you must also create clear boundaries and expectations. That often starts with ourselves!

Being a heart-centered, soul driven entrepreneur who truly loves to serve their clients and students does NOT mean you have to instantly respond to every email, message or the first to reply to the posts in your Facebook group.

✅Create business hours.
✅Shut down your laptop every day.
✅Determine exactly when & how you check in with your course/membership/coaching groups. Block off that focused, intentional time, set a timer & stick to it.
✅Create email auto responders that clearly state when you or a team member will respond by especially if real humans, and not bots, personally reply. Our auto responder says exactly that.
✅Take time off for real! Fully unplug with a plan. Batch create ahead of time so you don’t completely ghost from your audience for extended time away which will also allow you to fully unplug MENTALLY too.

How are you creating boundaries in your business? What’s working for you?

Who else wants to combine work with traveling anywhere around the world as a digital nomad with me? I have full-on bitten that bug! 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️
