Hey fellow busy business owner! Do you treat yourself as the greatest asset in your business (AND life) or are you the LIABILITY because you’re so burned the heck out?
If you’re getting ready for any type of launch in the near future whether it’s with a new website, a complete rebrand, new service offers, a digital product like a course, group coaching program or physical products…
This important topic is all about how to prepare, prioritize your self care, specific examples to easily take action without adding overwhelm, how to look refreshed on camera fast when you’re hustling in the middle of a Live Launch and take care of your most vitally important asset in your business, YOU so you can be at your personal best and reach your PEAK PERFORMANCE!
The response from my Facebook Live viewers were awesome when I shared these products. These are the super simple, super streamlined skincare products I use, one for day time and one for night that has completely changed the texture of my skin.
I’ve always struggled with adult hormonal acne and periodically cystic acne although I had great skin as a teenager! The irony! My skin is so much smoother, my pores are far less noticeable and there’s a glow that is truly glass-like which is what Korea Skincare regimens are ultimately trying to achieve. I figured out the key products to create those results without needing the usual 10+ steps in Korean Skincare!
- The one product I use at night after I cleanse my skin! Sunday Riley, Good Genes All In One Lactic Acid Treatment
- Day Time Option 1: Peach & Lily, Glass Skin Refining Serum
- Day Time Option 2: Both the Peach & Lily Glass Skin and this Glow Recipe serums are very similar with the active ingredient, Niacinamide. You definitely don’t need both. I’d recommend one or the other, whichever is easiest for you to find. Glow Recipe, Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops
- Bonus Tip: You don’t know until you’ve experienced this product and then you KNOW! It’s one of those things that seems so strange until you’ve tried it for yourself how much you could LOVE a hydrating lip product. Plus this little jar lasts over 2 years easily using it once a day at night! Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
As heart centered entrepreneurs, it’s not uncommon that when we’re in the middle of a really important promotion or live launch, we are so fully engrossed in serving our audience and making the very most out of a usually short period of time that we forget to take care of ourselves!
Have you ever experienced doing a Facebook Live Video or speaking on stage (virtual or in person) and when you finish you’re on an exhilarating euphoric high and then you quickly crash into an exhausted yet fulfilled puddle on the couch?
That adrenaline rush is exactly why we have to take care of ourselves when we come back down to our usual baseline.
Here’s a few specific examples of what I do:
- Gentle Workouts That Promote MOVEMENT:
=> The Balanced Life Pilates has been a longtime fav to strengthen my body from head to toe without having to get out of my PJ’s usually, targeting my core like nothing else and I swear I’m at least an inch taller!
=> Rebounder/Mini Trampoline (This is the exact one I use HERE and does NOT have metal springs. Avoid metal springs or having to assemble each spring yourself which is worse than putting together Ideas furniture) – As I mention in the video, this is not only a great joint-friendly workout tool but it’s amazing to gently bounce on it which helps promote lymphatic drainage to release toxins and reenergize your body without necessarily having the goal to break a sweat. It’s what Tony Robbins does when he wakes up and has with him backstage at his live events.
=> Mother Nature is truly your #BizBestie! Short walks outside! You don’t have to go run or hike a marathon. 5-10 minutes are magical to refresh your mind, tear yourself away from your laptop and get just enough Vitamin D. - Meditation For Non-Meditators aka Fidgety People Like Me!
=> Fav App: 10% Happier (The book is also highly recommended as well!)
=> Cloud Meditations – When I learned this was a “thing”, it truly changed my life that meditation didn’t have to look only one specific way with your eyes closed, legs crossed and saying “Ohmmm”. On a day where there’s at least a few puffy clouds in the sky, you literally lay on the ground outdoors and stare at the moving clouds. - Track My Sleep Hygiene – It’s not just about how many hours of sleep you get especially in the middle of a launch but knowing the QUALITY of the sleep you get. I’m a huge fan of the Whoop Band which I’ve been wearing 24/7 for nearly two years now and is far more than a fitness tracker. It’s truly a LIFE Tracker. It assesses your sleep quality, how rested/recovered your body is, how many calories you’ve burned, your resting heart rate, your exertion rate when you are exercising/active and most importantly, it measures your HRV- Heart Rate Variability which is a far more advanced measurement of your overall health, stress level and adaptability to stressors.
I’ve been getting IV Therapy for at least 7 years now and it was a huge part of my auto-immune protocol when I first starting to get the symptoms of complete adrenal burnout and Hypothyroidism. Now I continue to use it to be PROACTIVE, reenergize myself during launches and boost my vitamins/supplements when I’m a little extra depleted due to not eating on a timely basis. Anyone else forget to eat?? I certainly do!
This is my lifeline, emergency bat phone which I always have at least 2 friends who are also entrepreneurs and totally “get it” when it comes to what it likes to be in the middle of a launch and you just need to phone a friend! Plan this ahead of time and start creating this relationships with people who are in the business trenches with you. You can reciprocate when it’s time for each other’s big promotions or launches!
Don’t forget WHY you started your business in the first place! When it seems like Mercury is in perpetual retrograde and all the tech is glitching, go back to your WHY aka your “North Star” and that will help recalibrate and refocus on what matters most so might as well have FUN doing it!
One specific way I do this is to plan my celebrations out ahead of time. Just as soon as I commit and calendar my launch dates, I also calendar in my celebration day for after the event or cart close! It also helps to energetically shift you into a place that is foreshadowing a big win and something to look forward to as well!
Next week is going to be a very special live video because I have a very special guest joining me! Chris Megia who is a seasoned pro as a Master Hair Stylist will be alongside me to share her best curly hair styling tips and I’ll be demo’ing how I get my messy beach waves on my very stick straight hair! Plus we’re going to talk all about both of our experiences pivoting our businesses to the online space and starting additional businesses as Personal Brands!
