The following is a transcript of the conversation I had with Jen, Brandi and Joey that has been edited for brevity and clarity. 

Jen Gitomer

Jen is a sales expert and author of Sales in a New York Minute, who helps female entrepreneurs grow their businesses using quick, digestible, and easy-to-implement strategies to make more sales. You can find Jen on Facebook at Facebook.com/jengitomer.

How did you first hear about me as far as coaching with video? What was your personal experience with video before we started working together? And, what has the live video element done for your brand? 

I met you at a James Wedmore event and you said something like, “live video is the fastest way to grow an engaged audience.” When I heard that it just rang so true to me because I was going live, but it felt like something was missing. I wrote the book. I’m on the podcast. I’m doing all these things, but to gain that know, like, and trust factor I really felt like my audience needed to see me show up on live video. The second I started becoming consistent with live video, I started attracting my tribe. I have over 4,000 followers now on my Facebook Page and my engagement skyrocketed as soon as I started getting consistent and using the things that I learned from working with you.

As far as scaling your business, are you seeing a difference with what you’re able to do?

When I started working with you I changed from just going live on video to having a live video strategy. So, I went live for 30 days because I wanted to strengthen that muscle. At the end of those 30 days someone messaged me and said: “Thank you so much, I was recovering in the hospital and you really helped me get through it. No let me rephrase that. You didn’t help me get through it. You changed my life forever.” When you get a message like that, it’s everything! She’s just one of many who’ve found me through the power of live video. That’s when I knew I was really onto something with these videos because I was forming that connection with my audience.

What would you tell your past self about why you should sign up for this free video series? 

I’ve been putting it out to the universe and to the people close to me that before the end of the year I’m going to have 2,000 members in my membership that by the way has not yet launched. I’m saying it with confidence and conviction, because I know I have the power of live video behind me. I know that I can just open my computer and go to my people and talk to them and continue to grow my audience at this accelerated fast pace. How did you first hear about me as far as coaching with video? What was your personal experience with video before we started working together? And, what has the live video element done for your brand?

So, I first heard you on James Wedmore’s podcast and I knew what you were saying about live video was true. I was doing video inside my Facebook Group and on YouTube, but I knew when I would go live from my Facebook Page it was going to be crickets. You gave me the permission to have crickets in the beginning and learn before I had an audience watching me. When you’re on video it becomes about forming a connection with people. One thing that I didn’t know stepping into my role as a thought leader was the lives I would impact through live video.

From the ads perspective, how do you help service providers scale without having to hire people? 

The big thing with live video and ads is that when you try out different topics you can run very low cost leads to it and you very quickly know what does and doesn’t resonate with your audience. If it doesn’t resonate, move on and try something else before you pump a bunch of money into creating a product or running ads to it.

What would you tell your past self about why you should sign up for this free video series?

Really think about what you want out of your business, and how live video is going to play a role in that. I was already doing live and thought my set looked good so I kind of went in not as open as I wish I would have gone into it. Even if you think you already know something, find something that you can take out of this training and tweak just one thing. That one thing could change everything. That one thing for me was showing up as a better version of myself. I’m going to be a million dollar CEO and I’m showing up like it now.

Joey C. Vitale

How did you first hear about me as far as coaching with video? What was your personal experience with video before we started working together? And, what has the live video element done for your brand? 

I heard about you before I realized you were a live streaming expert. I just saw you as a coach in the coaching space. Once I started being able to support my law firm full-time I realized a real need and desire for me and my clients to create a course that was more affordable than working with me one-to-one. I hopped on live video and got spoiled at the beginning with stuff just taking off. But, the likes and followers weren’t converting into clients, and I wasn’t attracting the type of clients I wanted to work with. When I realized you were a live streaming expert that was already aligned with the background of online courses and how to launch, I knew you already know the model of the business that I’m building and can help me get there.

What’s been a different way you’ve been able to test ideas? 

Recently I’ve been learning about the value of being more intentional with the lives that I’m doing. I’ve been planning and putting some thought around it so people show up live or watch the replay. Now we have a  library of past live videos that we can re-purpose or republish.

What would you tell your past self about why you should sign up for this free video series? 

What I’ve found is that most of us spend our lives in our heads overthinking stuff. When you’re a business owner that is 10x. Any opportunity that you have to get out of your head and really just experience the present moment is an opportunity that you should invest in like crazy. Livestreaming is the most effective way that I can produce content and always be in the present moment.

You’re not lost, confused or stuck if you find yourself in mid-life questioning just about everything from your business, love relationships, the quality of friendships, health, spirituality… every important area of being a human! 

Evaluate all of it. Ask yourself what do you NO longer want or will tolerate? 

What are you craving more of? Pause to think deeply about that so that you don’t continue to repeat patterns and behaviors that no longer serve you. 

I’m at the beginning stages of my NEXT “reinvention tour”. It was the focus for the Baja Mexico retreat I just got back from. 

I’ve reinvented myself before, it’s probably not my last and that’s a GREAT thing!

While there’s a ton of uncertainty right now, what I DO know is that I have more than enough acquaintances and transactional relationships in my life and businesses. 

What I’m craving more of is a DEEPLY connected circle of trusted peers and friendships. 

The kind where there’s no competition, no ulterior motives, zero jealousy, just “I love you, I support you, you’re a big f*cking deal, and let’s do great things together while we are here on Earth” kinda energy.

When the doubt creeps back in, I remind myself that the unknown is the realm of infinite potential only made possible by change. 

So I’m leaning into this stage of mid-life not as a crisis but as a clear sign to trust my intuition and shake myself awake from floating through life. 

I want my life abundant with purpose, intention and connections. 

However you choose to reinvent yourself, whatever you come to realize, know this… 

✨May your current ceiling be your future floor✨
