In my previous blog, I shared with you my personal insights from diving into the latest buzz-worthy new social app, Clubhouse which I had a whole two weeks of experience with but I learned a ton and as always, I shared it all with you!
Since then, I got on a few more BIG “stages” as they call it on Clubhouse, alongside some massive names including Amy Porterfield, Laura Belgray, Lewis Howes, not one but TWO Shark Tank Sharks (Daymond John & Matt Higgins), Grant Cardone, Stacy Tuschl, Michael Stelzner and so many more Founders, CEO’s, Creators of every type of niche from musicians, Broadway stars, celebs, and moguls!
That’s the power of Clubhouse and I want to share everything that I’ve learned since last week so you can jump in the right way too!
If you missed Part One where I shared all the details about how to get on Clubhouse (it’s not public yet), my hacks, tricks, and more check it out here.
Here’s a sneak peek of what we talked about:

App Updates & How to Get Invited
One of the hacks that I shared last week is that all you have to do to get in is download the Clubhouse app and secure your username. That hacks still works, but there was an app update and now that hack is only working intermittently.
The tweak is that if you’re part of a Clubhouse “invite train” – where one person gets someone in and that person keeps passing it on – before you download the app:
- Confirm you have a buddy that is part of your invite train.
- Once that person confirms they’ve added you as a contact in their phone, then you download the app and secure your name.
- As soon as you download the app and secure your username, that person will get an alert and can get you in without an invitation.

How I’m Growing My Audience on Clubhouse
I’ve been on Clubhouse for three weeks, so in no way am I claiming that I’m an expert. I still want to share with you all the wins in real-time so that you too are an early adopter.
- For the first 5 days, I only observed and followed interesting accounts: Here’s a hot tip! When you find one interesting account or hear someone say something amazing, click on their face and see who they’re following. This is how you can curate a beautiful utopia so that you can keep your mind right and brain sharp!
- Participate in rooms that are both big and small: 80% of the rooms that I’ve participated in during the first two weeks are mostly small (30 – 100 people) because it’s my intention to meet different people from different spaces that I’ve never come across. When you’re in rooms it’s important to listen to the conversation first. If you have a really thoughtful question or something to contribute to the conversation that will be helpful for others, then raise your hand.
- Co-host your first room with a couple of other people: I’ve been on the app for three weeks and have hosted one room and have co-hosted four or five rooms. There are other people who prefer “baptism by fire” and learn best by just diving in. There is no right or wrong, but my biggest tip for you is to know why you do what you do and how it’s going to move the needle forward in your brand and your business.
How to Create An Awesome Clubhouse Bio & Headshot
What can you do to stand out in a sea of people? The first thing that I did with my bio was that I used Canva to take out the background from my photo, I added a bright color and then I zoomed in on my face so that when you’re scrolling through Clubhouse it stands out.
The second thing is that when someone sees you in a room and taps your face, they only see the first three lines so those first three lines are gold! I’ve chosen to write my bio, using your Signature Statement which consists of:
- Who you are?
- How you help?
- And, who you help?
This is something I teach my students in Lights Camera Branding and I wrote my bio this way so it’s not about me, but how I can help them!
Skip ahead to 24:39 to hear more about how you can make your bio and headshot stand out from the sea of humans.
How I’ve Been Speaking on These Big Stages
I’ve been in some rooms as a speaker with some really big names, like Laura Belgray, Grant Cardone, Michael Stelzner, and a couple of the Sharks. This your opportunity not to cower, but to stand up in your brilliance, power, and experience!
The way that I’ve been getting into those rooms is that:
- I’ve curated the people that I’m following so that I can surround myself with people who are having conversations that matter.
- I’m cultivating brand new conversations, relationships, and connections with people that I have not connected with before.
- I’m leading by giving as much value as I can where I can contribute with no ask.
If you’re scared to speak up, utilize your beautiful God-given voice, or show up, you’re making it about you instead of the people that you can serve. Lead with value and make it about them.
If your intention is to serve without asking or giving expectations, this is the platform where you’re going to thrive!
With Grit & Grace, xo!
