I can’t even begin to explain how much fun I had in NYC last week for the final retreat with my amazing Inner Circle online business mastermind group that i’ve spent this past year with, led by the brilliant and most beautiful human being ever, James Wedmore! I swear i’m not hiding in the pic below! I just greatly underestimated my height!
This was only my second time in NYC and the very first with my husband, Gary who i’ve been married to for over 14 years and together for 20! That’s kinda crazy, right?! So we made the most of it and added in a little bit of extra time to do all the touristy things around the mastermind meetings. Did I mention we’ve lived in Southern California in Orange County for most of our lives and NYC experienced record lows in the 30’s and even high 20’s during the day time when we were there!
I loved this coat that I ordered from Nordstrom right before I left the warmth of OC for the much colder NYC. What I love most about this coat is that it’s packable! Yes! It comes with this teeny tiny pouch that you can roll up the jacket into. I stuck it inside one of my boots to make use of every inch inside my suitcase! 
I also love the seams that create the beautiful illusion of a waist so you don’t feel so square and huge like many puffer style coats. Another style feature that I love is the longer backside so it covers your rear which makes it perfect to wear it with leggings which I did a lot! Plus the finish on the jacket is a soft matte so it doesn’t look like you’re wearing a garbage bag! Oh and all the hardware on the coat is like jewelry and is finished in a gorgeous rose gold! And yes! I was warm and toasty as we walked miles and miles all over NYC! As a reference, I bought this in a size Medium and there was still room to layer with t’s and medium bulky sweaters.

I’m a little obsessed with coats & jackets even though we only get a few weeks of really cold winter weather here in OC but I saw this coat last year but waited too long to buy it because it sold out quickly. Well, I just found it again and ordered it last night in the dark smokey gray color called “Concrete” on the far left because not only is it back but it’s sale! I seriously wanted this one for the gorgeous (removable) faux fur hood! As a reference, I ordered this in a Medium which according to the sizing and advise to size down since it runs bigger should work perfectly. I’ve never worn a Small in coats or anything so Medium should be just right!

And finally…the gorgeous blush topper/trench coat I found for a client a couple months ago that I was so obsessed with on her that I needed to get for myself too. This trench/topper jacket can be worn super casually with jeans, with moto leather (or leather-like leggings like i’m wearing in the pic and yes, they are the brand new freakin CRAMAZING ones from Spanx that you can check out here!) or on top of just about any type of dress both corporate sheath, casual tank or black tie! It also comes in a dark taupe-gray but this blush is seriously the most flattering neutral on any skin tone or age! Oh and yes! It just went on sale too! As a reference, I got the trench in a size Medium and it fits perfectly everywhere although it’s a bit more skimming (but not tight) in the arms. I just have bigger arms/upper back in relation to the rest of my body but the Large would’ve been way too baggy. I wear a Medium in the Spanx leggings too.
