Still #1 by far…DiorShow Waterproof. This is the original DiorShow. I know there’s half a dozen newer ones that are named DiorShow Blackout, Iconic, etc. but the one that is my BFF mascara is the original in the waterproof version. If you have stick straight lashes (most of us Asian chickas do!) WP mascaras will help hold the curl. Plus your mascara will not smudge or run when you’re kicking some bootay working out at the gym, if it’s a hot/humid day out or you wear an emolient eye cream (big culprit of raccoon eyes). The Black is a must-have. Blue is fantastic to apply as a 2nd coat to add a hint of blue which helps makes the whites of the eyes appear whiter, bigger, brighter, more alert and less tired!!
DiorShow has a huge Christmas tree-like brush which is why I love it. It really volumizes lashes lke crazy and makes all 8 of my lashes look like they miraculously multiplied as if I have like 40 of them, haha! FYI, the formula tends to be very wet when you first get it unlike most other WP’s that are drier. I find it lasts a lot longer than other WP’s which saves you $$ in the end and you’ll get less flaking later on down the road. No crunchy lashes! I really love, love, love a new tube after about 10 applications
==>TIP! If your new tube is too wet and smudging on your lid when you apply, just wipe off the excess on a clean tissue. After you do that 1-2 times it will be perfect!
#2 Fave Maybelline Lash Discovery. Now this one is the polar opposite of the DiorShow. It has a teeny tiny skinny brush. I like to use it after I apply a couple coats of the DiorShow to lengthen and separate. it’s also the brush I use to apply to the lower lashes. Unless you are blessed with a lot of lower lashes you’ll have better luck with a skinny mini brush
#3 Fave L’Oreal Voluminous Waterproof. This is a great drugstore alternative for the DiorShow. Its a very good volumizing mascar and the formula is a bit drier so if you really have a hard time applying your mascara clean without smudging on your lid then this one is for you. It’s about $7.50 but often on sale at any drugstore/Target. I find the tube dries out a lot faster than the DiorShow so I wonder if in the end you’ll end up spending more money?? Maybe.
#4 Fave Cover Girl Lash Blast Waterproof (original in orange tube, not new one in yellow tube for lengthening) This mascara is for those of you who swear every mascara smudges and runs on you making you look like a raccoon by the end of the day. I just about needed a jack hammer to remove this one! That’s a good thing if you really sweat, have very teary eyes, oily eye lids or use heavy eye creams which causes smudging too.
So how the heck do you properly remove waterproof mascaras? You have to use an oil based makeup cleanser or remover.
I love MAC’s Cleanse Off Oil. It will emulsify with water which means after you cleanse the rest of your face and rinse off there will be no oily residue. I just put a little bit of the oil on a cotton ball to easily remove every trace of waterproof eye makeup without pulling the delicate skin around your eyes. As long as you properly remove your waterproof mascaras with an oil based cleanser/ eye makeup remover you will not damage or lose your lashes. Trust me I can’t spare a single one of my 8 lashes!!
I wear waterproof mascara on a daily basis whether or not i’m going to the gym. I prefer waterproof formulas because they are the only kind that will hold the curl in my stick straight lashes and more importantly I never have to worry about smudging or raccoon eyes. With that said, not all waterproof mascaras are created equally! Some still contain tar and other very harsh chemicals but the ones that i’ve personally tried and continue to use do not irritate my eyes or cause me to lose any one of my 8 precious lashes!
Muah! Tiffany xoxo

LOVE this. I’ve been looking for a new mascara, I used to be a mary kay consultant and need to replace my old favorite.
