I’ve been conducting a highly scientific study that proves that wearing super cute, bold, bright and happy workout gear results in burning an EXTRA 250 calories! Yes, it was a double blind study conducted at a prestigious university where one group wore really hot workout gear and the 2nd group got boring plain, solid colored, sad workout clothes. Okay, so maybe i’m making all that up but I have to tell you that whatever your particular fitness fashion style is, I highly encourage you to get great workout clothes that fit your body well, moves with you so that you’re not constantly pulling & tugging at them, makes you feel and look great and gets you super excited about your next workout!
As you may know, I work as a personal makeup artist, stylist, lighting expert and whatever else I can give my opinions on, to some of the world’s best fitness pros. Seriously, these are the people who are at the very tippy top apex of their game in a highly competitive field! I’ve worked on countless fitness video and and photo shoots and I know a thing or two when it comes to high quality, great workout gear. The materials and cut, specifically the amount of supplex or spandex in the clothes especially when it comes to the workout pants/tights can make even a professional fitness model’s booty look extra amazing like one of Michelangelo’s sculptures or the wrong material can make it appear as if you’ve never done a squat in your life! So if you’ve wondered why workout clothes can be moderately to very expensive in price, it’s the amount of compression, aka higher grade of spandex and supplex that increases the price. The very best are the Brazilian made brands. They know their supplex!
I’m no fitness model #duh! I just work on them but I do LOVE to workout and for the past year i’ve been obsessed with the new style of Cycle classes where you “ride to the beat”. It’s the complete opposite of what you would do in a traditional “Spin” class which I actually taught when it first came out back in the mid-90’s! It was so long ago that my certification guidebook said, “we recommend not wearing any type of thong leotards as this will not be comfortable riding on a spin bike”! I kid you not! I need to find that and post it! It was back when those thong leotards were going out of style, thankfully! OMG! Seriously why did we wear those? And even worse was wearing the thong piece only that went over your biker shorts and if that weren’t enough, we put a wide elastic belt on and finished accessorizing it with giant scrunchy socks! Why???
Anyways, I digress…but one of the things I love about these newer styles of cycling classes is that they are in loud, club-like dark rooms with black lights and just like other fitness formats out there like Zumba, Turbo Kick, PiYo, etc. there’s a distinct fashion style with them. If you’re a road cyclist or a big time Spin connoisseur, I highly recommend NOT wearing anything that makes you look like you just competed in the Tour de France! Instead, be open minded and think outside the box, have fun with your outfits which is exactly how the classes are because you do a lot of dancing and booty shaken on the bikes and it’s crazy, nearly throw-up every time hard but so much dang exhilarating fun! So what types of styles go? Really, anything athletic that won’t get in the way of your bike peddles so definitely no wide or bootleg type pants (people still wear those??) but I love how bold, bright and fun you can get.
I’ve previously shared how much I love the super cute and fashionable activewear from Moxie Fitness Apparel. You can check out that blog here. Well, Moxie has really upped their game and have expanded their product line in barely the year that they have been in business and added these amazing bold, bright and fun Brazilian made workout tights to the mix. They are the only ones in the U.S. currently that sells them so you won’t see dozens of other people wearing the same gear as you, plus you can get a big break on the shipping time as well as not have to pay the extra duty if you are in the U.S but Moxie also ships to Canada too. All the styles above are from Moxie Fitness Apparel but they are all VERY LIMITED EDITIONS and most will not be available again once they sell out. So check it out and grab a pair or two or three if you’re a workout nut like me who loves to wear bold, bright, super cute workout gear! http://www.moxiefitnessapparel.com
Sign up on their site to get notifications on future discounts or you can use code: “COACHGLITTER” (all caps) for 10% off your entire order. This is NOT an affiliate code and I paid for all my own workout gear. I’m just passing the super cute finds and savings onto you!

Can you tell me if those capris fit “true to size” or if they run small or large? I normally wear a size 6 which, by their size chart, could go towards a size small or medium. I don’t know what size to order!

They run true to size. They come in XS (0-2), Small/Medium (4-6) and Medium/Large (6-10). You’d be a small/medium unless you’re more pear shaped, bottom heavier size 6.
