I’m so excited to finally share these two product reviews with you that i’ve been testing out EXTENSIVELY for over 1 whole month! They were both almost too good to be true the first few times I used it that I had to re-test and re-test and re-test. I also went to Vegas for 5 days for work so I tested it out there in much harsher, bone dry, crazy hot and windy weather conditions. So finally, here’s my review on the ItCosmetics CC+™ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation SPF 50+. Whoa! That’s a mouthful of a name but what an amazing product! And Garnier Clean+ Blackhead Removing Scrub! The newest foundation from my very fave makeup line, ItCosmetics is completely different than any other foundation i’ve tried before from any brand out there. It’s a liquid in a compact! The delivery system is quite unique as the plush, INVISIBLE weight liquid foundation is contained in a sponge and you gently press on the sponge to bring the liquid to surface. I am a makeup brush girl so I used a dense foundation brush (either the Marc Jacobs or double ended airbrush brush from ItCosmetics that i’ve mentioned in nearly every previous beauty blog!) to very quickly, with lightening speed apply the foundation streak-free to my face. It’s nearly traceless as well as weightless and undetectable. It’s honestly a bit strange errrr….unique and totally different than any powder, cream or traditional liquid foundation! The finish/texture leaves the skin looking hydrated and dewy and the coverage is lighter than the other foundations from ItCosmetics but easily buildable to nearly full coverage yet still nearly invisible and incredibly light which truly feels like a light Veil!
Who would I recommend this foundation to? While all the other foundations from ItCosmetics work on just about every skin type, I think this one is optimal for those with normal to dry skin. That is because it really does hydrate the skin and the finish is dewy and most people with combo to oily skin usually prefer a matte finish since they create all their own natural glow 😉 My skin type is pretty normal although I do get a little bit of shine in the T-Zone which is pretty normal. My skin was much oilier when I was younger but now that i’m turning the BIG 4-0 this year my skin has been getting a bit drier. I rarely ever touch up my makeup. I barely have time or remember to touch up my lips throughout the day! So if i’m shiny, i’m just gonna GLOW! In the summer time when it’s hotter and more humid, that glow looks straight up greasy so this foundation i’ll save for the cooler months or if i’m in a very dry environment like in Vegas! It was actually perfect for Vegas and kept my skin from looking dry and wrinkly! It really kept my skin looking perfectly glowy, hydrated and supple! Oh and did I mention it has SPF 50+ and good for your skin, vitamin infused treatment serum! It is available directly on their website => https://www.itcosmetics.com/cc-veil-beauty-fluid-foundationspf-50-pus , QVC and Ulta! Drumroll please….what’s the best scrub i’ve ever tried? Ever?! Well, the picture above gave it away but yes, it’s the Garnier Clean+ Blackhead Eliminating Scrub! The name really says it all! If you wear foundation primers, moisturizers and foundation/concealer that all contain silicones. Silicone/dimethicone is what gives all those products that silky “slip” that just glides on over the skin, fills in all the “nooks and crannies” aka pores, acne scars, uneven texture, lines and wrinkles. It also gives all those products longer staying power, water/sweat resistance and makes the products adhere to the skin even better. The bad part to all of this is that while dimethicone is an ingredient that is not pore-clogging but when you don’t fully cleanse your makeup off thoroughly EVERY NIGHT (oops! yes, we should take off our makeup every night!) the results are blackheads! Those suckers are tough to eliminate and you don’t want them for long because they will effect your pore size and pore visibility over time! You want to keep your pores clear because if they are clogged they will stretch your pore size making your skin look older faster! So this amazing scrub that you can find at any drugstore (http://www.garnierusa.com/Products/SkinCare/CleanPlus/Oily-Skin/Clean-Plus-Blackhead-Eliminating-Scrub.aspx) for very little $$$ (woohoo!) is optimal for normal to oilier skin if you’re going to use all over but I know that even those with drier skin experience clogged pores in the nose area and blackheads. Simply use it only in the areas that you experience congested skin and blackheads. Typically on and around the nose, sometimes chin and use just 1-2 times a week. For those with oilier skin you can use more often to eliminate blackheads as well as to treat breakouts and lessen excessive oil production thanks to the salicylic acid base. Pregnant and breast feeding mommy’s should avoid this ingredient along with BHA’s, retinoids & retinols. So rather that pull your skin off with those really rough pore strips or if you’re too busy or can’t afford regular facials with your aesthetician, this is great maintenance product you can do yourself right from the convenience of your bathroom! There you have it! Two amazing products that will give you beautifully smooth, glowing, radiant skin! If you try either of them please let me know what you think of them! Muah! xoxo! I can’t wait to try the foundation. I just gave the oxygen foundation to my daughter. She loves it. I didn’t feel it had enough coverage for me. Like the cc cream better. And I was just spent almost two hours at ulta last night playing. Now I gave to go back.thank you so much for all if your honest reviews and trials. Because if you I am now an IT girl!

Hey Tiffany…do you use the Garnier Scrub with your Clarisonic?
Thanks!!

I only use cream cleansers with the Clarisonic. That’s too much physical exfoliation using the Garnier Scrub with the Clarisonic.
